Product Description

This gasket is a genuine OEM replacement part for French Door refrigerators. Please note that the gasket is sold individually, so if you need to replace both doors, you will need to purchase two parts. The gasket is used to provide an airtight seal when the fridge door is closed. If the gasket becomes cracked or damaged, it may result in the fridge door sweating, or inconsistent fridge temperatures. To make the gasket easier to install, it can be warmed up with either a hair dryer or tub of hot water.

Gasket Had Cracked. Mold Forming Between French Doors
Replaced the gaskets. Can be done in place. No need to remove the doors. No need to empty the doors. Place new gaskets in the sun to soften and straighten a day ahead. Old gaskets pull out very easily. Clean gasket grove and any mold with 409. Push new gasket into grove at the four corners then the bottom with your fingers. Be sure all gasket flanges are not tucked underneath. Push the gasket in from the bottom corners to the top and then the top. Push and slide your finger along the gasket all around to be sure it is in all the way. Be sure the large flaps on the gaskets are facing in between the doors as they close the gap hole. Done
