Badly worn noisy almost broken clear belt
Removed the lower 2 cabinet covers each having only 2 5/16 sheet metal screws with a nut driver. Vacuumed under the machine to remove dust balls. Yuk! Removed the overly stretched old belt very easily with my fingers. Followed the enclosed instructions with 2 modifications. 1. I soaked the belt in hot tap water for about 5 minutes to try to soften it up a bit. I think this helped. 2. I then, per instructions, "stretched" the belt around the back side of the pump (larger) pulley after starting it around the motor pulley first. "Stretch" means I used a medium screwdriver with the blade end slipped into the loop made by the belt just as it was about to wrap around the pulley. I found I couldn't do this at all with my fingers or any other method suggested by others. I then could pull both the upper and lower ends of the screwdriver like it was a handle and somewhat easily have the leverage to overcome the stiffness of the belt and get around the pulley. I didn't have to contort my body to do this. My idea came from thinking of those car tire installation machines. I did use the silicone liberally on the belt as instructed after putting the belt on. Reassembly was a breeze.

Install belt
1. Remove front panel. 2. Place belt on motor pulley. 3 Place coat hanger hook over belt and align belt with driven pulley. 4. Pull belt and hook around pulley. 5. remove hook.

broken belt
New belt needed to be "stretched" some: I put it in the oven at about 140 degrees for about ten minutes: Belt went on extremely easy. Note: check belt in oven every minute or so by taking it out and check it for "stretch". Install immediately after achieving some stretch as belt will tend to shrink back to its original size.

Pump belt broke.
Replace belt, only problem was the new belt being so tight was hard to install.Finally got it.The washer runs fine now except on the last cycle water remains in tub, then dry cycle has hot steam and dishes don't dry. When starting New cycle water has to empty first. Any suggestions on that.
