This valve is located behind the refrigerator. It has a 1/4" compression inlet fitting. This part is a solenoid-operated switch that, when activated, releases water from the supply line to the water valve and into the compact icemaker mold.

My old solenoid only has 1 inlet. Can't find a compatible part. Will this part work even tho it has 2 inlets? It looks very similar to my old part except for the extra inlet. Can I just block one of the extra inlets? I am a plumber so believe I can rectify this, but would appreciate your opinion. Nothing else wrong with my fridge except this.

Water overfilled in the icemaker, running out and flooding the kitchen floor.
I basically followed the instructions that came with the water valve. The only deviation - I removed the valves AND the valve mounting brackets. I installed the new valve on the bracket, and then replaced the bracket/valve as a unit. That allowed me to make the waterline and electrical connections out in the open where I could see what I was doing. It was a pleasure doing business with you, and I'll recommend your company to family and friends.

water dispenser would not dispense water; icemaker working
I mainly followed the instructions in a video. I used an Ohm meter to check the solenoids and found one was off before ordering. Once I got the part, I did not cut the water lines. I re-inserted them and checked for leaks. There were none--luckily. Cutting these lines may make them harder for you to re-position the assembly back in plac e as there is not that much extra line for you to play with. In addition, I took my time cleaning up everythig back there. So far, everything is working!
