This is an authentic OEM replacement part. This actuator switch is used in refrigerators that dispense ice and water. This actuator is what activates the dispenser switch when you press your water glass against the plastic lever. Due to the mechanical nature of this switch it may become less effective over time and need to be replaced. If your fridge no longer dispenses water, and you don?t hear the click of the switch being activated this is the replacement part you need. If you notice that the actuator is in fact making contact with the switch you will then need to check the switch itself, or the control board to find the source of the problem. Before beginning this repair job make sure your refrigerator is unplugged.
