Product Description

This elbow kit is an essential component for maintaining proper drainage in your washing machine. It connects the internal drain pipe to a 7/8" external hose and includes a clamp for secure attachment. By forming a high point in the drain line, it breaks the siphon effect that can cause dirty water to flow back into the tub. This helps ensure clean, efficient operation and can resolve common issues like leaking or incomplete draining.

I looked up the video on YouTube. It was extremely helpful. I am just not a handy guy, never got the lessons growing up I suppose. I have found their videos elegantly simple, and they provide me with the confidence to take on projects that I otherwise would have paid someone else to.This particular installation was a simple matter of pul ling off the rear access panel, unscrewing the safe and break from the rear of the washer, pulling out the old parts and inserting them into the hoses, and then putting it all back together. The leak was fixed, I have run the washer about 4 times just to check, and everything is great. This site made ordering easy and installation even easier

siphon break leaking at base and elbow
the base worked fine but the elbow was 7/8 and my drain hose was 1". So I had to modify the old elbow to fit the new siphon break and old drain 1" drain hose. I didn't have the time or place to purchase a new hose. I buffed to old elbow seal seat and didn't leak....yet.

belts wore out, would not spin cloths dry enough.
tilted washer back, belts install at bottom of washer. 5 minutes at most. removed round dust cover at back of washer for access. replaced syphon break elbow. elbow diameter too small for my drain hose so installed piece of 3/4 inch thin wall PVC pipe to shim it. works great - done

I broke the old syphon elbow moving my washing machine
Before I ordered the part I watched the brief repair video on this website. It demonstrated the repair and instructed which tools to use. I found the video easy to follow and did the repair myself when the part arrived in about 10 minutes. My only suggestion: older drain hoses are larger than what new elbows fit down to-- make sure your hose fits the new elbow correctly (or get a new one that does apx. $10)...otherwise, it'll blow off when the washer drains!
