I bought this for my 9.5 ft 18V ryobi pole saw. I have a 17ft palm tree that needs regular pruning. I bought three extra middle sections. Two is more than enough for the extra reach. These sections are of equal quality to the original section. Highly recommend. PLEASE NOTE: Use of extra sections to further extend the pole saw is typically highly discouraged as the control of the saw is limited when using extra sections. With two additional sections added there is pretty good flex which I believe would snap if held out by one end and lowered the saw end to horizontal. In order to use with the extra length I walk my hands up the pole for support until it’s vertical and then lift the entire tool which provides plenty of support while using the tool close to vertical or off by a few degrees so that you’re away from the falling branches. These extensions have made work significantly easier. It’s also nice to have the third which I don’t foresee using but if one ever does break I’ll have the backup.

Fit as described. This product does not have a center drive cable. It is battery operated and has contact plates. Woks perfect with battery operated pole saw.

I bought this to add length to my pole saw. There were 2 problems. First the rivets on one end were sheared off and the end was detached when it arrived. Second the other end wouldn't screw all the way on without the use of a pipe wrench. The pole was loose and 2 threads were exposed when handtight causing the plug to not seat properly shutting my saw on and off. I reriveted the end on because I needed the extra length for a limb I had to take down and did not want to wait. After my repairs it worked great. Not sure if I got a lemon so a 3 instead of a 1 rating. Would be a 5 if it worked right out of the box.
