This fuel tank cap fits on top of the fuel tank in your lawn equipment. It prevents gasoline from spilling out and keeps moisture and dirt from entering the tank. If the cap is damaged, it will be visibly broken and may not fit snugly on your fuel tank. This can allow debris to enter the fuel tank, which can cause engine problems. Thus, it is important to replace a damaged cap immediately. To remove the cap from your machine, start by turning your machine off and letting it cool down. Then, twist the cap counterclockwise to loosen it before lifting the cap straight up. Please note that this OEM-certified replacement part is sold separately.
