Product Description

This part is a replacement control knob for your washer. The control knob allows you to select the desired setting for your wash cycle. If your washer will not start or the timer will not advance, you may need to replace the control knob. Occasionally the control knob will become worn, and when this happens the control knob dial will not turn, and you will not be able to select the appropriate setting. If your control knob is worn, broken, or missing, you will need to replace it. The control knob is made of white plastic and is approximately 2 inches in diameter. The control knob is sold separately from the control knob dial, so be sure to confirm which part you need to complete your repair.

When I remove the knob the mechanism it was attached to moves around. Will replacing the know stop that or is there another part I need to order and replace from behind the panel ? Thank you.

Hi Kelly, thank you for reaching out. According to our research, replacing the knob may not solve the problem if the internal mounting structure is damaged. If the metal or plastic shaft that the knob sits on is wobbling or can be pushed back into the machine, the timer assembly, part number FIX4704240, needs to be replaced. Teeth on inside of knob broke
Simply took of the balance of knob and inserted new one. Poor manufacturing of product.

pulled old ones off pushed new ones on done in no time. Knobs look just like old ones.
