Drive Shaft 581815101

Power reaches a trimmer or brush-cutter head through the driveshaft inside the outer tube. Bent metal or worn splines may cause rattling, slipping, poor cutting, or no head movement. Check the clutch and gear head before ordering a replacement because they can create similar symptoms. Match the shaft to the full equipment model and parts diagram. Shut off the tool, disconnect the spark plug wire or remove the battery, wear gloves, and make sure both shaft ends engage fully before reassembly and testing.
