Reduce rough scraping during snow removal with this lightweight composite skid shoe. It supports the auger housing at the correct height while sliding across the driveway or walkway. The polymer construction provides a durable contact surface and may operate more quietly than a metal shoe. Proper clearance also helps protect the scraper bar and lower housing from unnecessary wear. Check the skid shoes often and replace them when they are cracked, uneven, or heavily worn. Shut off the snow blower and wait for all moving pieces to stop before service. Install both shoes at equal heights and tighten the mounting hardware securely.
