This is a single pad assembly for a random orbit sander. The pad assembly holds the sand paper in place and creates a level surface needed for sanding. Pads are prone to wear and tare over time and will need to be replaced when they do. It will start to deteriorate around the edge. To prolong the life of your pad assembly do not apply too much pressure to the pad while sanding. This simple repair should only take a few minutes to complete.

Does this fit/ replace the sander pad for a Dewalt DW444 TYPE-1? It appears to measure 4.5 “ on the plate with 4 screws and 6 holes.

Hello Robert, thank you for reaching out. This pad is not compatible with your model. The compatible pad for your model is the hook & loop pad, part number FIX10189106. In order to attach this pad, follow the following instructions: Turn the sander over so that the sanding pad is facing upward. Clean the dust from the hook and loop pad face. Hold the pad with one hand to keep it from rotating. On the other hand, align the holes and place the disc directly on top of the pad. We hope this information is useful!
