This replacement tire is a genuine Craftsman part. It is supplied by original equipment manufacturer for use with band saws. The tire fits tightly over the wheel thus providing stable grip for the saw blade. Overtime these belts tend to stretch or cracked and you will notice the blade not tracking properly. This would be the time to change it. It is advised to change both tires at the same time to ensure the blade has an even grip. Please note this rubber tire is sold individually. Its advised to have two people in the stretching process when replacing a tire. Brand new tires will typically be approximately two (2) or more inches smaller than the old tire that is being replaced. You would need to put the new tire in hot/warm water to heat the tire making stretching process a lot easier.
