Product Description: This part includes one OEM ball spring for an impact driver. This metal spring is what applies tension to the steel ball in the bit chuck. It assists in holding the steel ball into a groove in the shaft. It can wear over time, and this can make it so it no longer holds the steel ball. With the steel ball not in place, this makes it so it can no longer hold the driver bit securely in the chuck. For this repair you will need a screwdriver, Allen wrench, a pair of pliers and a magnet if you have one, to help keep the small metal ball safe while disassembling the unit.
