This is an authentic OEM sourced replacement part designed for use with Hitachi power tools. The purpose of this cord armor is to protect the base of the cord from getting bent and pinched. Over time cords tend to develop cracks that can expose the wires and become a safety hazard. It is made from durable rubber material and it is sold individually.
