Switch knob broke off with part of the switch tube still in place.
Used a Philips screw driver, inserted it into the broken portion of the switch tube, turned it left to clear the ear slots which hold it in place. It then popped out and aligned the new switch and inserted, then turned to on to hold the switch in place. Simple.

The plastic control knob was broken.
After spending time trying to locate the part online and being told it was not available, I called the company. They were finally able to locate the 5 cent plastic part and charge us $30.85 for it. Since the other part broke, we were reluctant to push very hard so it was more concern that the cheap part would break again. Simply push h ard until it goes on the stem.
