The door spring and the door spring adapter appear to be intact. However, the door feels like there’s no spring involved. Could it be that the Door spring is no longer good? However, there is zero resistance when you let the door down.

Hello Vern, thank you for reaching out. If your dishwasher door drops without any resistance despite the spring appearing intact, the door spring link may have snapped or become unhooked from the metal hinge slot. This link connects the tension spring to the door hinge, and if the connection fails, the door loses its support. Replacing the damaged door spring link, preferably on both sides, can help restore proper door resistance and controlled opening. The part number is WP912653. We hope this helps!
