If your oven is not coming up to temperature, has inconsistent or fluctuating temperatures, or just will not heat at all, there may be an issue with the bake element. This part is found at the bottom of the oven, and is the source of heat for your cooking and baking. This is a genuine OEM replacement bake element, but please note that new screws are not included with the part. You can either reuse the ones from the old element, or order new ones separately. Please be sure to disconnect the power supply to your oven before beginning this repair.

I replaced this part - Oven Bake Element WP74010750 but the center support is not touching the bottom of the stove. Is this ok or how do I fix this?
For model number JDS9861AAP
Hi Terry, thank you for reaching out. It is not a problem if the center support of the WP74010750 bake element is slightly elevated and not touching the oven floor. This is a common occurrence due to slight manufacturing bends or warping during shipping. The element's design still functions safely and correctly. We have also attached a video to help you out for proper installation. We hope this information is useful!

The part was perfect but then we hit trouble. Took out the screws, no problem Gently pulled the element out to get to the wires, problem, wires detached. We had to move the stove out to get to the wires in the back. The wires were so short that no way would they have come out the front. The wires hooked up easily, but moving the stove
