- This is the replacement motor pulley for your dryer. The motor pulley transfers momentum from the drive motor to the drum via the drive belt. If the motor pulley cracks or is no longer staying on the drive shaft, you will need to replace it. You will need to access the dryer motor for this repair, by removing the front panel. The motor pulley is approximately 1 inch in diameter and is sold individually. This is an OEM part sourced directly from the manufacturer.

Step 1 disconnect power cord from outlet step 2 disconnect dryer hose from outlet. Step 3 pull dryer away from wall so you have plenty of room to work on it step 4 push up on top cover until it releases and flips up support against wall . n side of dryer being careful of electrical connections for door switch. Step 6 lift drum out of dryer and place away from dryer.step 7 with one set of water pump pliers being careful not to damage cooling fins on,motor grab the main shaft of motor and hold tight while taking second set of water pumps or adjustable wrench on broken pulley and turn to the left to loosen because it has a left hand thread. Step 8 replace broken pulley with new pulley tighten . I vacuumed all lint from motor, impellers and complete base of dryer. Step 9 put new belt in place with rubber side with grooves against drum thread around new motor pulley and engageven drum backed into dryer making sure back of drum rides on wheels on back and skids in front. Step 10 pull tensioner and weave belt around tensioner making sure drum runs freely an belt is in proper alignment Step 11 replace all cover's and try spinning drum to make sure it rides freely

Tuimbler- barrel not turning.
I pried 2 front snaps to lift lid. Nutdriver removed 2 screws to lift off front. The switch easily popped out of bracket to free the front panel to set it aside. Tumbler lifted out exposing the cause of the broken belt was due to a damaged motor pulley. I used a screw driver to "lock" motor in order to back off the damaged pulley, then in

spect and vacuum out inside of dryer. The new parts arrived in a surprisingly short time and included an easy to follow belt installation diagram. Once the new pulley was in place, I replaced tumbler with the belt around it. Then I was able to reach both hands under the barrel from both sides of blower, in order to "thread" the belt around the idler wheel and the new pulley. then replaced front panel and popped the door switch back in place and the top snapped back on. All done and a happy mother-in-law was able to dry her clothes once again.
