This is an authentic OEM Amana replacement part. This temperature sensor is used in ranges to determine the internal cooking temperature. There will be no visible symptoms on the sensor or the oven when this part stops functioning properly, the main indicator is that temperature in your oven will not match the reading, you can confirm this issue by testing the sensor with a multimeter. Some signs you might have a problem with the temperature sensor are that you will have little to no heat when baking, your oven is getting too hot, your oven is not heating evenly, or your oven will not heat. This replacement part is six-inches in length, and it included the wire nuts needed for installation. Some tools you may require for this installation are a 1/4-inch nut driver, needle nose pliers, and wire strippers/crimpers. Make sure you have unplugged this appliance before you begin repair work.
