Hi John, Thank you for your question. According to your owner's manual, turn the used water filter counterclockwise until it releases from the filter mounting bracket. Drain water from the water filter into the sink, and discard the used water filter. Wipe up the excess water in the filter cover. Remove the sealing label from the end of the new water filter and insert the water filter into the filter mounting bracket. Gently rotate the water filter clockwise until it stops, and snap the filter cover closed. Flush the water system. Use a sturdy container to depress and hold the dispenser lever for 5 seconds, then release it for 5 seconds. Repeat until water begins to flow. Once water begins to flow, continue depressing and releasing the dispenser lever (5 seconds on, 5 seconds off) until a total of 4 gal. (15 L) has been dispensed. This will flush air from the filter and water dispensing system, and prepare the water filter for use. Additional flushing may be required in some households. As air is cleared from the system, water may spurt out of the dispenser. Inspect the water filter system for leaks. If you see water leaking, check the troubleshooting section in your owner's manual.
