The Ball Bearing fits between the bearing cup and the slinger, and its primary purpose is to reduce friction to allow the device to operate smoothly. Ball Bearings experience constant wear from the pressure, heat, vibration, and friction of the grinder, and may need to be replaced periodically as a result. Signs of broken or failing Ball Bearings include squealing, screeching, or grinding noise when powering the device off. This part has a diameter of approximately 3/4", made of metal, and is sold individually.
