This authentic OEM paddle assembly in your angle grinder engages the motor and allows it to function when you press on the paddle. It is usually located on the handle or grip area of the angle grinder, where your hand naturally rests. If the paddle becomes difficult to press or unresponsive, it needs to be replaced. Keep an eye out for wear, damage, or malfunction. To start, remove the rear side cover by undoing its screws. Next, detach both the paddle and lock button. Install the new paddle assembly and lock button. Make sure the tab on the lock button aligns with the armature side, and do the same for the new paddle. Finally, reattach the other half of the rear housing, ensuring proper alignment of the paddle and lock button with the housing.
