fridge warm
opened up the inside of freezer, defrosted which took 1 1/2 hours, saw the thermostat module was popped up and leaking rusty water when turned upside down, checked for breakage on defrost coil and found none, cut and stripped the 2 wires connecting thermostat and reconnected with the new thermostat (wires were same color which really help ed) and used wire nuts and electrical tape, put it all back together and it's working great. Checked old thermostat once out and found it had popped up so far it ripped out one wire inside right out of its connection. Only took about 10 minutes once freezer was defrosted.
