Carbon Brush Assembly (Set of 2)

This is a set of two authentic carbon brushes with wire leads, springs, and brush holders. Your equipment uses two carbon brushes to conduct electricity to the armature through the commutator. This is a very common repair due to the constant rubbing of the carbon brushes against the turning commutator. It may become obvious that a repair is needed if sparks are excessive, however it is important to also check the armature for damage at the same time. To access these brushes, you will begin by removing the guard, the side handle, and the rear housing. The brushes are likely secured with one screw, which will need to be removed. Remove the brushes away from the housing and disengage the wire lead. These instructions may vary depending on your model but should give you a general idea of the simplicity of the repair.
