The wires inside the power cord were exposed (from the exterior casing) at the entrance to the machine. Not dangerous as is, but potentially.
1) Removed shroud screws. 2) Opened up shroud. 2 halves come completely apart, which was not evident at first, exposing motor and electrical. 3) Investigated wiring connections. This took some time, and a good light. 4) Disconnected existing wiring and connected new wiring. Both steps done gently with needle-nose pliers (slide-on connecto rs). 5) Re-assembled everything, ensuring all wiring was connected and not being pinched.
