Product Description

This is a genuine Homelite replacement part. The pinion is a drive gear that attaches to the axle of your lawn mower and drives the wheel of your self-propelled mower. The pinion gear commonly needs to be replaced if one or both of the wheels are not driving. The pinion gear is made of metal. To do this repair you will need to prop the lawn mower up so the wheels you are fixing are off the ground. We recommend you let the engine cool, and remove the spark plug wire before replacing the pinion gear. To complete this job you will need a 12mm socket and snap-ring pliers.
