Product Description

A choke control that sticks or will not stay in position may need a new lever assembly. This control links the user-operated knob to the carburetors choke plate. Closing the plate helps enrich the fuel mixture for a cold start, while opening it supports normal running after the engine warms. Inspect the linkage, choke plate, carburetor, and air filter before choosing a replacement. Stop the engine and allow hot surfaces to cool fully. Drain the fuel into an approved container, work away from flames or sparks, and remove the spark plug wire. Install the lever in the same direction shown in the equipment diagram.
