This is a genuine Briggs and Stratton, Cub Cadet and Toro part for use with Engines and lawn mowers. The carburetor mixes air and gas before the fuel mix goes to the engine. The most common reasons for replacing the carburetor are when the engine is hard to start, stops after a few seconds, runs poorly, leaks gas, or won't start at all. This part is sold individually. Here is a list of tools that are needed to replace the carburetor a 1/4 inch socket or nut driver, 3/8th-inch socket or nut driver, 7/16th-inch socket and a 5/16th-inch wrench
