A depth control that feels loose or does not respond may need a new cable. The cable links the handle control to the machines depth mechanism, allowing the operator to raise or lower the cutting position. Its flexible design follows the frame while the inner wire transfers movement to the adjustment system. With an overall length of about 59-1/4 inches, it must be routed and secured correctly for smooth operation. Compare the new cable with the old one before installation.
