Product Description

This is an authentic drum support roller kit for 29-inch-wide dryers. It includes 1 belt, 2 roller wheels and an idler pulley. The parts in this kit allow the dryer to tumble properly by supporting the drum cylinder. The idler pulley provides the tension needed for a multi-ribbed belt. The belt attaches to the drum, idler pulley, and motor pulley. If these parts are damaged, it could cause loud noises such as squeaking and squealing while the drum is turning. These are normal wear parts and are best replaced as a kit to ensure optimal performance.

Dryer drum belt broke
I bought the maintenance kit which included the belt, roller wheels & tensioning arm assembly. The instruction video was great, but I had a real problem trying to get the belt through the tensioning arm and on to the motor pulley. As someone else has pointed out, It seem that you need three hands, and there's not enough room for two peo ple. After a bit of pondering, I got some scrap bits of wood and wedged "open" the tensioning arm such that the wheel was a bit beyond it's position in the final assembly. This was easily accomplished with only two hands. The belt was then easily threaded through the arm and put around the motor pulley. The wood bits were then removed. TA-DA!

Drive belt broken. No drum rotation.
Following the instructions supplied, threading the new belt was easy. Support rollers installed really easily and the new idler pulley just snaps in. It was a good time to vacuum the interior, since the door panel was off, and to vacuum out the vent pipe. The instructions call for a small putty knife as a "shoe horn", to seat the rear dru m seal, which really worked nicely. The trickiest part is holding the drum, while coaxing the door panel into place, so that the lower spring clips catch and the mounting screws can be started.

Noisy, high speed bearing issue
Watched the installation video from this site performed the repairs and the Dryer works like new. Longest part of the repair was vacuuming the cabinet out and cleaning the shafts for the replacement parts. The total repair time, with cleaning was approximately a hour. Definitely recommend this site for any Do-It Yourself consumers!

Squeaky Dryer
I followed the video instructions and had no problem changing the parts and even the belt while I was at it. The most challenging part was getting the inside electrical cables unplugged from one another before taking the front panel off the dryer.

Bad motor and drum belt.
Open the top of the washer with a flat screwdriver it pries open. Removed the top two 5/16 screws from the inside of the front panel and removed the front panel, It has no screws at the bottom. Then remove four 1/2 nuts from the drum panel and remove the drum panel. Take the drum belt off of the drum and remove the drum. Remove the motor by unplugging the one big wire plug and two single blue wires. Be sure to take note of the location that each of the blue wires came from. The blower fan on the outside end of the motor unscrews clockwise and the motor is held in place with two clips. One on each side of the motor. The two drum rollers are each held on with a bolt in the center of them. After the motor is in place the new blower fan is threaded on counter clockwise on the motor shaft. Put the blower fan cover panel back on and reassemble the dryer. make sure the drum belt is in alignment with the motor pulley Also make sure the drum felt around the drum is not folded or torn and reinstall the drum panel. Spin the drum to check for metal on metal and or drag from roller alignment. Reinstall the front panel and close the top of the dryer.

some of the new parts could not be used (too difficult to install)
I used the videos on you tube. The installation would have gone much smoother but some of the new parts could not be used due to the extreme difficulty in installing them. These part included the white triangle keepers for the rollers, the slip washer that keeps the left roller bracket in place, and the tension roller. I had to use the o ld parts that I had removed. This model does not use the roller type tension system. It uses the Teflon strip instead of the roller which apparently incapable.I made attempts to contact your customer service to check on a solution but to no avail. The dryer is working fine but I would feel better if I could have installed all the new parts in the kit.

Dryer drum stopped turning. Motor still turned
I followed the easy video instructions. It took the mystery out of it. Replaced belt, 2 rollers, tension device. Some folks claimed to have difficulty getting the belt onto the motor pulley once it was thru the tensioner. The trick was to take a big screw driver and slide it into the belt loop as it goes through the tensioner. Then si mply use the screw driver as a pry bar. Pull a little to the right and it sleeps right on. I saved a bunch of money. Will purchase all of my appliance parts from here now. Service was fast!
