Startup Switch knob Broke
My dryer's Start switch knob broke off the switch and as a result of course I could not start the dryer. I found this site online and placed the dryer model number in their search box and immediately came up with the needed part. But that was not all I got. It came with a video for installing the part. The video was so easy, so well made,

It took less than 10 minutes to do so or 15 if you count that I decided to vacuum off some of the dust that has accumulated throughout the years. Well done

start switch needed replacing
I rated this "a bit difficult" ONLY because the guy on the video said all you needed was a Phillips head screw driver to get the 4 screws off the panel. After trying every size Phillips head I had, I photographed the screw and drove to Home Depot where I purchased a torx screw driver. Came home and easily removed the screws . The actu

Repair was very easy (the video also explains it very well): 1) unplug appliance; 2) remove four screws from top of backsplash/control panel, and tilt forward for access to switch; 3) depress small tab next to switch, and rotate switch to remove; 4) disconnect wires from old switch and connect to new switch; 5) install new switch in contr

ol panel by rotating into place- you may need to bend the small tab into place so the new switch locks into position; 6) reinstall backsplash with four screws, plug in, and slide new knob onto switch. Done! Takes less than 5 minutes.
