Old motor made buzzing noise instead of starting up and spinning
I highly recommend watching several different youtube videos. This confirmed my diagnosis and made me feel better about spending $175 on a part I wasn't 100% sure of. Most videos give a very easy overview of what you will be doing. I'm no appliance expert, but very quickly got all info I needed once I was searching on youtube (nothing of value learned outside of youtube) Just seeing the plastic fan removal on video with its left hand thread probably saved me hours of struggling. This is an easy job after you've seen someone else do it in a video. My dryer was slightly different than the videos, but close enough to deal with any slight differences.
