duct was burnt out inside dryer and the broken mesh was catching clothes and tearing them
First disconnect all power and or gas. I took off the top by unscrewing all the philips screws in the top back of dryer. Then unscrewed all screws behind dryer which is composed of two parts or walls, the outside wall comes off, the inside wall stays on. The inside wall has the duct with two screws one 90 the bottom upper left and one inside the inner wall which help hold in place. I disconnected the front top dryer controls by removing the two outer top screws and i unplugged the plug by pushing down on clip and pulling straight out. Then I removed two long screws that are right behind the door when you open it and they are located in the bottom outer centers Then i unscrewed four screws top and bottom of dryer front and took that panel off. Then I removed the from panel behind the dryer door and removed the drum by disconnecting the drum belt pulling up and out revealing the inner too screw behind the heat element, screw top inner duct screw and reassemble. It's a lot easier than it sounds. Take pictures as you go this will help in reassembly.
