Product Description

This is a genuine OEM part that has been sourced directly from Rigid. Ball bearings are used to reduce friction between rotating parts, which is why they are commonly used in power tools. This ball bearing is commonly used in the pulley systems and motors found within drill presses and band saws, however we do recommend referring to model specific diagrams for appropriate uses and applications. This is a shielded bearing, meaning there are metal shields on both sides of the bearing; this will stop dust, dirt, and jobsite debris from getting into the bearing during operation, this increases the lifespan of the bearing. Eventually bearings will wear down due to friction and heat, which is why they need to be replaced. As the bearing wears down you will notice excessive heat coming from bearing locations, your power tool will start to make unusual sounds, and you will notice that certain parts of you machine are no longer moving as freely as they once were. This bearing is made of metal, and is sold individually. Before replacing the ball bearing in your drill press or band saw make sure you disconnect the power.
