Product Description
This is a genuine manufacturer sourced replacement chuck and key. It is specially designed for Delta drill presses. The purpose of a chuck is to secure drill bits. The ratcheting action of the gears will secure the jaws tightly in place for reduced bit slippage. If your drill's bit retention is suffering, the rotation feels stiff, or the chuck has seized up entirely, a new chuck should fix the problem. Please note, screw to secure the chuck is not included, it is sold separately. If the old chuck is not stuck, installing a new chuck should be very easy. You should only need a screwdriver to complete this task. • Make sure the tool is unplugged • Open up the jaws to access the screw • Remove the screw that hold the chuck • Remove old chuck and secure the new one • Tighten the chuck screw and test the tool
