Product Description

Stiff movement, poor bit grip, or a seized chuck can make a drill press difficult or unsafe to use. This replacement chuck and key assembly holds drill bits firmly while the spindle turns. Check for dirty jaws, an incorrect key, bent bits, spindle runout, and worn bearings before deciding the chuck has failed. Match the replacement to the full tool model and type because similar-looking chucks may use different mounting systems. Disconnect electrical power before service. Use the correct removal tool, protect the chuck from falling, and clean the spindle and chuck socket thoroughly. Do not oil the mating surfaces. After installation, check bit alignment and operation at low speed.
