Top sprayer won’t stay on the assembly

Top spinner is keep falling after reattaching several wash cycles. This part looks like ours. Will this work on my model?

The top spinner on my dishwasher fell down. I have the part#DW7000KM,OEM (spinner , small ring, and twist on thingy, but it won’t stay attached. It doesn’t help that I have a 3rd rack and it is almost impossible to reach the place where the water would come out when in use. Any suggestions?

Hi Shelley,
Thank you for your question. Before beginning this repair, turn the power off to the dishwasher. Then open the dishwasher door and remove the top rack by lifting up on it and push the rails back in. Then remove the upper dishrack out by pulling it out and left it up and out. Once it is out, push the rails back in. The top spray arm is held in place by 2 clips. Use a small flat-head screwdriver to release one of the clips and pull the water supply tube down. Once you have one side off, the other will come off. There is a locking tab on the spray arm. Press on each side to release it and remove it from the tube. Then push the new spray arm on until it locks in. Then follow the steps in reverse to reinstall the parts. We hope this helps!
