Product Description

The rack slide end cap attaches to the rails of the upper dishrack, to prevent it from sliding all the way out. It is a one-inch white plastic part that can break over time. This might be the part you need if you are not able to close the dishwasher door properly. If this part is worn or damaged, it can be replaced by popping out the cap with a small flat-blade screwdriver and snapping the new one in its place. If the rear cap needs to be replaced, you will need to remove both the front caps and completely remove it for full access. Keep in mind that this part is sold individually, and more than one may be required, depending on your repair. This is an inexpensive part, so we suggest purchasing several at a time to have on hand in case you need it.

Broken roller wheel on the right side of upper rack.
I bought these parts for my girlfriend, had them sent to her house, and before I could get there to help her fix the dishwasher, she had done it herself! She reported that it was straightforward and was not nearly as difficult as she dreaded it would be. I think her comment was, 'I should have done this a LONG time ago vs just putting u p with it being broken!' Don't be afraid to dig in there and do it yourself; you'll be amazed at the self-confidence and sense of satisfaction you get from the repair.

The rack slide end cap broke.
Leave the sliding rack closed all the way. Remove the old end cap. Slide the new one in with the keeper on the outside of the slider arm. Snap it in place, your done.

the dish washer rack would come all the way out on the right side of the top rack
Well, first I open the door, which I had to pull JUST a little bit and the door came open, then I pick up the part with my Thump and index finger, reach down to the place it where the part was suppose to go and with my Thump and Index finger, I slid the part in place. The part didn't want to go in place, so I had to back up and take the p art in straight so it would line up with the slot and pop! it when in with ease, I didn't even brake a sweat. now! when you pull on the top rack, it stop where it is suppose to and doesn't come out anymore. Now! if a person doesn't have a Thump and Index finger, the job would be nearly impossible and would take probably all day to do and you would have to hire someone to repair the dish washer for you. LOL

Wheels broke off the pins of upper rack.
Removed the end caps on the slides with a hacksaw and pliers. Replaced with new rack and new end caps (as recommended by manufacturer) and slid it back in. Great info and video!

dishes weren't coming out clean
Researched the internet and found parts supplier who had the replacement parts suggested and how to videos. Only difficulty was the old piston & nut assembly which was "frozen tight in place". Had to muscle it out. Rest of repair couldn't have been much easier. Once old parts were replaced, dishes seem to be coming out better. For now thi s beat spending $$ for a new dishwasher.

Upper rack assembly was broke and rusted.
1. Twisted the old end caps and pried off from the slide with the flat head screw driver.
2. Slide out the old upper rack assembly.
3. Install the new upper rack assembly into the slides.
4. Pop in the new end cap. Done.
