Black in color. No longer available in almond. This door latch prohibits the dishwasher from operating when the door is open. The gasket is used around the door to keep the dishwasher from leaking.

broken latch handle
I set my laptop on top of the dishwasher. I watched the installation video, stopping it each step along the way until I had finished that step . Then I moved to the next step until the installation was complete.

spring broke in latch
Removed six screws that hold control panel then, two screws that hold latch, unplugged wires from old latch reconnected to new latch, screwed down new latch, screwed control panel back on, pulled out old door seal, pushed new seal in groove, job done good to go.

Broken door latch
I was amazed when the new door latch was delivered the morning after I placed my order. Swapping out latches only took about 5 minutes. The hardest part was getting the door cover back on. I just looked up on youtube how to replace the latch.

Old latch had broken, making door hard to open.
Six Phillips head screws to free the control panel cover, two torx-head screws holding the old latch, and it was out. I transferred the four slide connector wires from the old latch, to the new one, and walla!!! Returned the screws to their rightful homes, and the latch was done. Easy!!! Take off the front of the dishwasher - six screws Remove the part that has the handle on it - two screws with the star-shape screwdriver end. ed pliers. They were kind of stuck and I had to wiggle them a little. The new part looked a little different than the original but the person at said that would be okay. I put in the new part and now my husband no longer has to wash dishes. Ha!

door latch failed
A friend did this for me since I didn't have a torx screw driver. Remove the 6 phillips screws holding door together. Remove old latch with torx screws. Unplug leads to old part and attach to new door latch. Reattach all screws. took less than 10 minutes and was not necessary to cut power to machine. Gasket included with door latch took

Dishwasher would not start sometimes.
Replaced the whole door latch assembly because the switch was defective. With the whole assembly, the repair was easy with the Torq screw driver kit. About a 15 minute repair.
