Spring had been knocked off and dishwasher door was crashing open
Watched a YouTube video (there's one for everything), did what it said (take off the bottom panel by unscrewing two phillips head screws and hook the two ends of the spring to the appropriate places) and voilà! The door is fine. Saved myself AT LEAST $100, maybe more.

Broken door spring
All I needed were pliers to get the bottom panel off. Then I just reached I’m with my hand. Nothing to disconnect. Didn’t have to pull out dishwasher.

for fell down too far, spring had been stretched
I watched the video on your site. I took off the bottom plate, found the spring on the right side, though it was very difficult to see even with a flashlight. After taking the old one of,I was surprised that the plastic piece the spring hooked onto, came off easily,oops and could not see where to put it back on. Checked the video again a nd went by the feel method only. I have thin arms and was able to use both but relied on the video to feel my way through. However, it assembled as demonstrated, just had no line of sight like the video indicated. But was pretty satisfied! Put the bottom plates back on and it works great.

Not as strong as OEM
the part fits fine, but the spring is not a strong/stiff as the OEM part. I moved the part from position one to position 4 on the bottom rail of the dishwasher to get extra tension on the door, and it appears to be working fine.
