Service Armature 16-07-2610

An authentic OEM sourced service armature that is designed for Milwaukee drill drivers. The armature is the central component within an electric motor. It is composed of a steel shaft, copper windings, and a series of commutator bars through which carbon brushes transfer electricity. If the tool is overloaded, the copper windings can become extremely hot melting the windings causing armature to fail. Remember to be especially careful of the armature fan when you remove it, because if you break it, you will have to replace the entire armature. It is highly recommended to replace both carbon brushes when replacing an armature. This assembly includes one armature, plastic fan, armature bearings and the pinion gear.
