The purpose of this intake filter is to remove dust and other contaminants from going into the pump. It is an authenitc item that is supplied by original equipment manufacturer for use with Rolair compressors. This filter is made from high quality pleated paper in a plastic housing and it is sold individually.No tools needed to replace this filter, simply unscrew the old filter and replace it with a new one.
