Product Description

This is an authentic replacement part manufactured for use with Porter Cable air compressors. The safety valve is used to prevent the tank from overpressurizing by letting air out of the tank when a specific pressure is met. Safety valves have specific pressure tolerances specific to the model of air compressor it is important to match the valve to your model of compressor. This safety valve is available as an individual replacement part.

Drain valve would not open, so one could bleed off air/condension buildup inside compressor.
First thing to do is acquire a tap the same size and threads of the Drain Valve (N286039) and Valve Safety (TIA-4150). (Note: these two items are the same size.) After removing both the drain valve and the valve safety from your cvompressor, take the TAP and chase the threads in both openings (to remove burrs, and rust build up) before installing the new parts. This prevents cross threading and stripping of the threads of your new parts on the installation. Tighten both valves very snuggly.
