Product Description

This replacement valve plate assembly is a high quality item designed for use on Craftsman air compressors. It is a genuine manufacturer sourced item that is used to control the airflow into the cylinder. Once the piston starts traveling up, the reeds on the valve plate open and air is sent into the air tank. Overtime the reeds will get worn eventually requiring valve plate replacement. One metal valve plate with reed valves and two rubber seals are included in this assembly. When replacing this valve plate assembly it is also a good time to replace the head gaskets which are sold separately. You will need a wrench set to complete this repair.

Compressor would not build up air.
I followed the instructional video provided by the site to replace the valve plate assembly. The video was very clear,
easy to follow, and very precisely "fit" my compressor's
repair requirements. The replacement part was the "fix"
needed and the compressed air now builds up as it should.
