Product Description

This pressure switch is supplied directly from original equipment manufacturer. It is a customer designed item made for use with Campbell Hausfeld air compressors. The purpose of a pressure switch it to control when your compressor should start or stop building up pressure. This kit includes: installation instructions, pressure switch, two (2) gauges, regulator, safety valve, relief line and hardware. To complete this repair you would need a wrench set, nut driver set and a thread-sealing tape. • Shut off the electricity and drain the air tank • Remove the tank pressure gauge • Remove the pressure switch tube • Remove the pressure regulator assembly • Disconnect the wires • Remove the safety valve • Install the new pressure switch • Reassemble and test the air compressor

This was a 1996 Campbell Hausfeld 11 gallon 3.5hp compressor. The pressure switch had gone bad. It would not turn the unit off when pressure was reached, and was leaking air from the pressure switch.
The pressure switch kit ordered was a direct swap, and included all parts needed to swap the switch. It also came with complete, easy to follow, step by step instructions. It was just a matter of following the steps to remove the old switch, and then following the steps to install the new switch.

R/R Pressure switch.
The pressure switch that I initially received was defective. I called and reported it to Cambelle Housfield who sent me a replacement which worked well. The factory pressure was set 25 lbs. to high.
