VALVE PLATE ASSY. AB-A640050

This is a genuine Bostitch replacement part, it is sold individually. The purpose of the Valve Plate is to allow into the cylinder.<br<When the piston is being pulled down the reeds on the Valve Plate are closed and air is building up in the cylinder. Once the piston starts traveling up the reeds on the Valve Plate open and air is sent into the air tank. Overtime the reeds will become worn and the Valve Plate will need to be replaced. This is also a good time to replace the head gaskets.
