It is a high quality OEM supplied replacement part that is specially produced for Hamilton Beach coffee makers. A brew basket is placed in the top container with a filter which is sold separately to hold the coffee grounds. One durable black plastic brew basket is included per order. It has a spring loaded mechanism that will dispense coffee into the carafe.
