DeLonghi Gran Dama Milk Lid and Spout

I had a persistent "no milk frothing" problem for months. I tried all the usuals: thorough (double) descaling; replaced water pump, coupling carafe, and flow meter. Nothing helped, so as a last resort I ordered a new milk container assembly. When I was cleaning the new parts and ran water through the spout, I noticed that the water went through with more volume than the old one. All this time, it was the spout had clogged up with milk or minerals. The *spout*! It's not even a part you can buy (you have to buy the entire milk lid and/or container assembly.
