The gold tone filter is a premium OEM coffee filter, and it is sold individually This filter holds eight to twelve cups of coffee. It has a black plastic housing to give it structure, a mesh basket, and a handle to help lift it up out of the coffeemaker. The coffee filter is what separates the liquid and coffee grounds. If you notice coffee grounds in your coffee, this may be a sign that this filter needs to be cleaned or replaced. It is most commonly replaced because the mesh has torn or has come apart from the plastic framing.
