Product Description

Genuine Makita replacement part, this item is sold individually. The purpose of the 231806-7 Tension Spring is to raise and lower the telescoping lower guard. When you make a cut the Lower Guard will raise up inside of the upper guard, as you get to the end of your cut the Spring will cause the lower guard to return to it original position. The spring is attached to the Lower Guard and also to the upper Guard housing.
